A Gift of Sky
On a Friday night in November, I walked late under the horizon-to-horizon night sky above the San Luis Valley of southern Colorado. I had truly forgotten the astonishing gift of the Milky Way, misplaced it in my today life. Stars shot above, Orion pointed to a beaming unnamed planet, the seven sisters smiled. Perhaps some of these celestials were friends saying goodbye and hello, and others whispered the omniscience I can’t quite hear but know.
